On behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF), 2017 HBA President Ken Kruse of Payne Family Homes (left) presented a $15,000 donation to Brenda Dundon, resident, Kim Russo, residential care coordinator, and Karen Ledbetter, director of assisted living facilities at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services’ (CRSS) DuBourg House Assisted Living Center.
The donation will be used to help fund the Warm Windows for Low-Income Seniors project, which will replace 24 original aluminum-frame, single-pane picture windows in the dining and common rooms of CRSS’ DuBourg House Assisted Living Center. The improvements will provide a more comfortable interior space for senior residents, as well as reduce energy usage and costs. CRSS’ mission is to provide an integrated continuum of care to senior adults through social, health and housing services.
The HBA is a local trade association of more than 600 member firms representing the residential construction industry. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA’s charitable arm, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with special shelter needs.
