Contractors interested in learning about business opportunities in upcoming transportation, utility and public works construction projects in the St. Louis area can meet the buyers of those projects, learn about the details and connect with helpful equipment suppliers and subcontractors at the second annual Investment in Infrastructure Expo to be held February 27 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Sponsored by the SITE Improvement Association, the 2018 Expo will feature an afternoon of breakout sessions describing upcoming projects, an annual economic outlook for the local construction industry, an exhibit hall filled with industry vendors and a reception for all attendees, buyers and vendors. Last year’s event attracted more than 400 attendees and 50 vendors.
“We will have the buyers for more than $500 million in 2018 infrastructure projects together in one place for contractors to meet and develop meaningful business opportunities,” said Terry Briggs, Executive Director of the SITE Improvement Association. “The heightened interest and discussion now going on at the state and federal levels about the need for infrastructure improvement programs makes this event even more compelling. We encourage all contractors to attend, even if you have not previously worked on infrastructure projects.”
New to this year’s lineup of buyers participating in the Expo is Missouri American Water Company, OSHA and St. Louis Ice Center in Maryland Heights. They will join returning buyers including Missouri Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Sewer District, City of St. Louis Board of Public Service, St. Louis County Department of Transportation, Jefferson County Department of Public Works, St. Charles County Road Board and Great Rivers Greenway. An economic forecast will be provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Additional speakers will be announced as they are added.
Tickets for attendees, which will include appetizers and drinks at the reception in the exhibit hall, are $30. Sponsorship opportunities and booth space in the exhibit hall are available for equipment dealers and suppliers, as well as for construction, architecture, engineering and other professional services firms.
