Christopher Thomas Joins HOK’s St. Louis Office as Architect
Christopher Thomas, AIA, has joined HOK as an architect in St. Louis. In his new role, Thomas will join the team working on the BJC HealthCare Washington University School of Medicine Campus Renewal project.
Prior to joining HOK, Thomas was an architect at Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects in Fayetteville, Ark. He earned his master’s in advanced architectural design from Washington University in St. Louis, and his degree in architecture from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. In 2015, Thomas received the H.B. and M.B. Simon Scholarship for exemplary performance at Washington University. He currently resides in St. Louis.
Michael Bechtel Joins The Korte Company’s Las Vegas Division As A Project Manager
The Korte Company welcomes Michael Bechtel to its Las Vegas Division. Michael comes to the company with over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, working for a large construction firm before heading up his own Design-Build construction company which specialized in self-performing federal and military projects.

Mary Dohogne Named Project Engineer at S. M. Wilson & Co.
Mary Dohogne has been named Project Engineer at S. M. Wilson & Co. She will be responsible for helping establish procedures with the design professionals, consultants and Owner of projects for information flow, approvals, meetings and reporting. Mary will also track shop drawings, submittals, material deliveries and RFI‘s through the duration of projects and assist the Project Manager with MBE/WBE participation and workforce inclusion.
Mary served as an intern at S. M. Wilson during summer 2015, where she received training on Building Information Modeling (BIM), processed RFIs and handled the responsibilities of a Project Engineer for her project teams. She was offered a full time position with the company upon completion of her college studies.
“Many of our interns, including Mary, carry the responsibilities of a Project Engineer,” said Rachel Miller, Human Resources Manager at S. M. Wilson. “After seeing her perform in her internship, we knew we wanted her back after graduating from college.” Mary earned a B. S. in Construction Management at Southeast Missouri State University in December, 2015 and holds OSHA 30 hour Construction Safety and Health certification.
Paul Jurasovich Joins HOK’s St. Louis Practice as Senior Design Professional
Paul Jurasovich has joined HOK as a senior design professional. In his new role, Jurasovich will work on-site in Indianapolis on the Indiana University Health Academic Health Center project. Jurasovich is a registered architect in New Zealand and Green Star Accredited. Jurasovich’s more than 12 years of professional experience includes sustainable consulting for design workshops and project teams. Jurasovich also worked as a Green Star Assessor, with more than 100 project assessed.
Prior to joining HOK, Jurasovich worked as a senior project architect at Williams Architects in Auckland, New Zealand. He earned a degree in architectural studies and a doctor of philosophy in achitecture from the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand. He currently resides in Indianapolis.

Charlie Nager Joins Gershman Mortgage in St. Louis Office
St. Louis based Gershman Mortgage recently announced the addition of Charlie Nager as an Account Executive. Charlie has over 30 years of experience in the residential loan industry and his experience and knowledge of the industry is helpful to all parties involved in the loan process.

Samantha Hurrell has joined HOK as a workplace strategy analyst in St. Louis. Hurrell will provide support for multiple ongoing local workplace strategy projects.
Hurrell recently earned a degree in architectural studies with an emphasis in interior design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She received the People’s Choice Award for her work in the IIDA Student Design Charrette at NeoCon 2015. She currently resides in St. Charles, Mo.

Haberberger Welcomes Alyssa Predico As Process Piping Designer
Affton-based mechanical contracting firm Haberberger, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Alyssa Predico, of Ballwin, to its growing team. In her new role, Predico will serve as a process piping designer.
Predico’s background includes five years of process piping experience in the oil refinery industry. She most recently served as a designer with Ambitech Engineering. In her new position with Haberberger, Predico specializes in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting and Building Information Modeling, working with other members of the team to create the most cost-efficient and state-of-the-art project designs.
Predico, who originally hails from Louisiana, holds an Associate’s degree in Drafting from Delta Tech in Louisiana.
Haberberger, Inc. is a 68-year-old mechanical contracting company that offers complete HVAC installation, customized maintenance programs, process piping and piping fabrication, and refrigeration and energy management services.
Abby Buchmann Joins HOK’s St. Louis Office as Design Professional
Abby Buchmann has joined HOK as a design professional in St. Louis. In her new position, Buchmann will provide support for the interior design team working on FleishmanHillard’s executive offices.
Buchmann recently earned her master of architecture and product design degree from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.

Tarlton Promotes Cameron Denison to Senior Project Manager
Tarlton Corp., a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm, promoted Cameron Denison, LEED AP, to senior project manager. Previously serving as project manager, Denison has worked on several notable projects, including the $90 million,175,000-square-foot LEED Gold Olin Business School expansion at Washington University in St. Louis (Knight and Bauer Halls), which won the firm one of the construction industry’s highest honors – a 2015 Alliant Build America Award. The project also was named a finalist for a 2015 Construction Keystone Award by the Associated General Contractors of Missouri.
Denison is on the Tarlton construction management team on two separate projects at University of Missouri Columbia. Denison joined Tarlton as a project engineer in 2001. He earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation in 2008, granted by the U.S. Green Building Council based on demonstrated knowledge and experience related to sustainable building design, construction and operation.
Denison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Geotechnology Promotes Buffy Flemming to Marketing Manager
Geotechnology, Inc., a leading provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering, geophysics, water resource management, materials testing and drilling services, has named Buffy Flemming as the company’s Marketing Manager.
In this role, Flemming will manage marketing activities company-wide, including efforts related to public relations, advertising, the company website, marketing materials and tradeshows.
Flemming has been with Geotechnology since 2011, and as Marketing Coordinator has been instrumental in developing company branding efforts, establishing the Geotechnology intranet and social media involvement. She has been active in The Society of Marketing Professional Services and held the position of Education Director in the local chapter.

Gabrielle Clay Joins HOK’s St. Louis Office as Project Accountant
Gabrielle Clay has joined HOK as a project accountant in St. Louis. In her new role, Clay will work with the corporate accounting team and regional offices to maintain accurate and timely accounting records.
Prior to joining HOK, Clay was a corporate accountant at a local real estate services company. She earned a degree in mathematics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Clay currently resides in Florissant.
