BEX Construction Services Completes Project at Camp Wyman

BEX Construction Services recently put the finishing touches on a new swimming pool for Wyman, a youth development organization headquartered in Eureka, MO. Their existing pool was one of the favorite features of Wyman’s Teen Leadership Program (TLP), but was due for an overhaul.

In addition to using the pool for their youth programs, Wyman also rents their facility to guests. The pool construction was on an expedited schedule to accommodate a special gathering in memory of Marine Corporal Riley E. Baker, whose family reserved the location for their event. Construction began in mid-May and had to be completed July 2nd so that the pool could be used at the function. “Without the pool, the Bakers would have had to find another location to host,” explained Jason Rose, Site Services Director for Wyman.
“We had some significant setbacks in the project that were outside of anyone’s control,” Rose recalled, “and the project was still completed by our final deadline.” Chief among the setbacks Rose refers to was a stretch of unseasonably wet weather, which complicated the concrete pours for the pool and deck. Utilizing evenings and weekends, BEX was able to adjust the construction schedule to make sure that the turnover date was honored.
“We made the right choice with selecting BEX Construction Services as our general contractor,” Rose continued. “It didn’t seem possible, but everything was completed in time and the pool was open for the reunion on July 2nd.”
