SPOT – Sustainable Product Database

July 10, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Facebooktwitterlinkedinmail

Streamline and simplify the product selection process for your green building projects.

USGBC and UL (Underwriters Laboratory) recently announced a collaboration to develop digital tools that help  architects, designers and buyers identify products in UL’s SPOT™ database that contribute to LEED v4 requirements.

SPOT is a free online product database that contains more than 45,000 products searchable by Master Format number, manufacturer, certification programs such as UL GREENGUARD and ECOLOGO Certification, or sustainable building credits in green rating systems such as LEED, Green Globes, WELL Building and others. SPOT can help design professionals identify sustainable products for green buildings during the design and specification phases.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the barriers to finding products for sustainable building and operation
  • Learn about a new free tool to find sustainable products
  • How to search for products based on your specifications or sustainable criteria
  • How to include team decision making in product selection
