Allison Connely Joins Arcturis as Interior Designer

Arcturis is pleased to announce that Allison Connely will be joining the team as an interior designer. Connely joins Arcturis to work closely with several of the firm’s clients including Wells Fargo, Saint Louis Fashion Fund, and Missouri University of Science and Technology. Whether designing or space forecasting, Allison provides a sharp eye for quality design.

Connely holds a BFA, Cum Laude, in Interior Design from Maryville University in St. Louis and is a member of the International Interior Design Association.

She actively applies this design practice with several of the firm’s largest corporate and healthcare clients including Express Scripts, Equifax, Nestle Purina and Panera.

Her client service is incomparable and stems from a passion of helping those in need. In addition to her career and involvement within the design industry, Michelle is helping shape the community as a founder of the not-for-profit HomeFirst STL.

ISS Announces Addition of New Estimator & Project Manager

ISS Insulation Services & Solutions, a full-service insulation contractor specializing in both commercial and industrial projects, announces the hire of Scott Panther as an estimator and project manager. Panther brings nearly 10 years of experience in the commercial construction, design and insulation fields to his new position.  He will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, focusing on schedule adherence, bidding for insulation scopes and managing labor and cost.

Panther graduated from ITT Technical Institute with a degree in Computer Drafting and Design. In his industry experience, Panther has managed several difficult and labor-intensive projects for high-profile companies. Before ISS, Panther worked as a shop worker, fire protection designer and senior designer primarily in the mechanical field.

Christina Schafer Promoted to Service Manager – Plumbing at IFS

Suzanne Bedwell joins Hastings+Chivetta Architects’ Tulsa Office as Project Architect

With over 27 years of architectural and project management experience on a variety of building types, Suzanne has the ability to guide a project through design and construction, while managing and coordinating client and consultant interface. She is also a veteran field inspector. Suzanne is currently working on The University of Tulsa Keplinger Hall renovation and the Community School of Naples Student Activity Center concept.

Suzanne earned a Bachelor of architecture through the five-year National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)-accredited degree program at Oklahoma State University.

Pete brings years of experience in human resources and strategic planning to SAK, one of the fastest-growing pipeline rehabilitation and tunneling contractors in the U.S.

Her responsibilities include leading and enhancing the company’s strategy and partnerships in all areas of human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, performance management, organizational development and employee relations.

Most recently, the St. Louis resident was vice president of human resources with Bi-State Development, where she was responsible for providing strategic leadership and partnerships in all aspects of human resources. With over 15 years of diverse professional experiences in consumer products, manufacturing, and mass transit industries, Pete comes to SAK recognized as a dynamic leader, business partner and strategic thinker.  She has a strong record of success and the ability to create and implement complex strategies in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.

Pete’s previous experience also includes serving as a human resources professional at Monsanto and as corporate vice president, human resources, at Angelica Corp.

Pete earned her master’s degree in business administration from Webster University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.

Cory Murner Joins HOK’s St. Louis Office as Landscape Architect

Cory Murner, PLA, has joined HOK as a landscape architect in St. Louis. He will contribute to the project teams working on the Davidson County Justice Center in Nashville, Tenn. and the Will County Justice Center in Joliet, Illinois.  He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Prior to joining HOK, Murner worked as a landscape architect and project manager for Bayer Becker in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned his master of landscape architecture from Kansas State University and his degree in landscape architecture from South Dakota State University.

KAI Design & Build Welcomes Eric Goeken as Intern Architect

Goeken holds nearly eight years of industry experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Iowa State University.

Mackey-Mitchell Promotes Clay Phillips to Principal of KC Office

Mackey-Mitchell has promoted Clay Phillips to Principal of their Lawrence, Kansas office. Clay graduated from Kansas University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1994. He worked at Mackey Mitchell from 1999-2007 and rejoined in 2012.

Clay heads up Mackey Mitchell’s newly established Kansas office. He has worked on office buildings, warehouses, classroom buildings, performing arts facilities, student centers, student housing and dining, parking garages, business schools and laboratories.

Clay has been a soccer, basketball and track coach, a school board member and a member of Rotary International. Clay is also an avid reader, chess player and runner. When he’s not solving architectural problems he is busy working on his historic home. Raised in St. Louis, Clay now resides with his wife and four children on their small farm in eastern Kansas.

McClure Engineering welcomes Mechanical Designer, Robert Vogel. Robert received his Associates of Science in CAD Technology from Lewis & Clark Community College, comes with 25 years mechanical design experience and is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks. His former employers include: United Excel Design, HBE, Airtherm and most recent Icon Mechanical.

Kurt Voss promoted to Vice President of Engineering at IFS

Kurt Voss, P.E. of Saint Louis has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering at Integrated Facility Services (IFS). He is responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the IFS Engineering & Design Team. Voss joined IFS in 2008 as sales engineer and most recently was director of engineering.
Voss is a graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO.

Charles E. Brant joins Kwame Building Group, Inc. as Senior Project Manager

(KWAME) as a senior project manager responsible for design management of projects within the $1.6 billion Dallas Independent School District 2015 Bond Program. Brant has a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University. He has 13 years of experience as an architect and project manager for education, municipal and housing projects. Brant is LEED AP BD&C and NCARB certified, and has been named an American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Dallas Chapter “Young Architect of the Year.”
