Trivers Names Three New Associates
Trivers is pleased to announce that three Project Architects have been named Associates of the firm. The Associates serve as an advisory group to the Principals and work together to implement strategic initiatives.

Neil Chace is a Project Architect with 14 years of experience on a variety of project types. He has worked on Hope Lodge projects for the American Cancer Society in both Omaha, Nebraska and Jackson, Mississippi. Locally, he is working on the new Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Ranger Station and a new 126-unit apartment complex in Soulard. Neil is also the co-founder and President of Modern STL, a non-profit organization striving for the identification, education, preservation and celebration of St. Louis Modernism.

Ashley Hoolihan has been with Trivers for five years and is a newly licensed architect in the State of Missouri. She is currently working on the new $40M Health Professions Education Building at the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky. Other projects in her portfolio include The Euclid and the Urban Chestnut Grove Brewery & Bierhall. Ashley is a former Design Thinking andBuilding Systems instructor at Washington University and is a member of the Society for College and University Planning and Young Friends of Downtown STL.

David Lott is a Project Architect who has spent the last eight years with Trivers. He has served a key role on some of the firm’s most visible projects including The Laurel, the 610,000 SF adaptive reuse of the former Grand Leader Department Store in downtown St. Louis. He is currently working on the expansion of the Museum of Westward Expansion as part of the CityArchRiver 2015 project as well as new affordable housing in the Grove neighborhood for Rise. David has a passion for St. Louis history and serves as a board member for the Landmarks Association of St. Louis.

Haberberger Welcomes Greg Harrop To Its Team As Project Manager

Haberberger is pleased to announce the addition of Greg Harrop to the Affton-based mechanical contracting firm as a project manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for project management and estimating.
Harrop brings over 28 years of experience in the St. Louis construction market, where he has worked as both a mechanical contractor and general contractor. His background includes working in preconstruction services and project management with projects ranging up to $100 million. He has also managed self-perform work in Texas, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois.
Harrop’s focus has been in the industrial, pharmaceutical and micro-electronics sectors in St. Louis. He also has extensive project management experience in the design-build HVAC market. Along with his expertise, Harrop serves on the MCA of Eastern Missouri Student Chapter Committee. He is also a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Haberberger, Inc. is a 68-year-old mechanical contracting company that offers complete HVAC installation, customized maintenance programs, process piping and piping fabrication, and refrigeration and energy management services to a variety of industrial and commercial customers.
JLL Hires Former Cresa Senior Advisor as Vice President

Commercial real estate brokerage firm JLL (NYSE: JLL) today announced it has hired Chris Schmidt, a former top advisor with Cresa St. Louis. Schmidt, who specializes in industrial tenant representation, leasing, and sales, joined the company on July 6. He works alongside David Branding, Pat Reilly and Terry Stieve on JLL’s industrial brokerage team.
David Steinbach, executive vice president of JLL St. Louis, said, “We have the highest performing industrial team in St. Louis, which is why we’re able to attract the top industrial tenant rep in town. Chris’ expertise will be a tremendous asset to our clients and to helping JLL maintain our large market share of industrial tenants.”
Prior to joining JLL, Schmidt spent eight years as a senior advisor representing tenants both in the office and industrial sectors in St. Louis and across the nation. Throughout his career, he has been involved in lease negotiations with national and local companies such as PLZ Corporation, Nova Marketing, 3M and Missouri Confluence COOP, TAGG Logistics and the American Red Cross in the industrial market, and Gardner Capital, American Family Insurance and Ironshore in the office market. Schmidt also spent six years in the financial market providing a wide range of services, including financial modeling, strategic planning, and research.
JLL’s industrial team last year transacted over 3.5 million square feet valued at $247 million. Nationally, the firm is ranked number one for industrial tenant representation.
Pinnacle Contracting, Inc. Promotes McLaughlin to Vice President of Operations

Tim McLaughlin has been promoted to vice president of operations for Pinnacle Contracting, Inc. The announcement was made by Nelson Grumney, Jr., president.
As vice president of operations, McLaughlin will oversee the firm’s project managers, estimators and project engineers.
McLaughlin joined Pinnacle in 2013 as a project manager. “Tim has excelled in successfully completing large and complex projects. His new role will further showcase his talents. The promotion is well deserved and we look forward to his future leadership,” Grumney said.
McLaughlin earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Founded in 1998 in St. Louis by Tom McLaughlin, P.E., and Nelson Grumney, Jr., Pinnacle Contracting, Inc. provides general contracting, construction management and design/build services to a national clientele.
Claghorn Promoted to GM, QualSafe Solutions

Brad Claghorn has been promoted to general manager of QualSafe Solutions, an affiliate company of the Murphy Company that provides project safety management, equipment, training and safety consulting services. The announcement was made by Rob Koester, chief financial officer.
“With nearly two decades experience in the construction industry, Brad is a seasoned professional who has demonstrated his ability to manage all aspects of safety programs and a multi-layered team delivering top-notch service to customers,” said Koester. “His experience with inspections, training, incentive programs, confined space entry, fall protection, respiratory protection and OSHA compliance combined with his dedication to customer service are a perfect match with the continued growth we are experiencing at QualSafe.”
Claghorn holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Murray State University. From 2013 to 2014 he served as QualSafe Solutions’ project safety coordinator on the Amite BioEnergy Program in Gloster, MS, He also was previously employed as a safety engineer for Murphy Company from 1990 to 1998.
Lisa Abney Joins Murphy as Quick Response Account Manager

Lisa Abney has joined Murphy Company as Quick Response account manager. The announcement was made by Conrad Philipp, vice president, Quick Response.
Abney has more than 15 year experience in DDC/HVAC (direct digital controls/heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) service and sales.
Murphy Company delivers mechanical solutions to the industrial, commercial, institutional and heavy industrial markets.
HOK’s St. Louis Office Adds Three to Design Staff
Arno Sandoval, RA, NCARB, CSI CDT, Mark Stegeman and , have joined HOK’s design team in St. Louis.

A licensed architect with more than 15 years of experience, Sandoval will support the HOK team as a senior project architect working on the BJC HealthCare Washington University School of Medicine Campus Renewal project in addition to other project duties. Prior to joining HOK, he was a senior project architect at KAI Design & Build. He earned his degree in architecture from the Pratt Institute in New York.

Stegeman brings more than 10 years of architecture and engineering experience to his new role as a senior associate and director of project management. He will be responsible for leading the local project management team to optimize project planning and financial performance. Previously Stegeman was a director at Arcturis. He earned his degree in environmental design from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Wirth, a licensed architect with 14 years of experience, will contribute his design expertise as a senior associate and senior project designer on HOK’s Indiana University Health Academic Health Center project. Wirth joins HOK from CannonDesign, where he was a design architect. He earned his degree in architecture from the University of Kansas.

Christner, Inc. Names Stacey Wehe Education Market Leader

McCarthy Promotes Marketing Professionals Jessica Davila and Nora Bresnahan

Davila currently serves as President of the St. Louis chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). She graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in French.

Bresnahan’s promotion to Marketing Manager recognizes her leadership in a range of marketing activities, including proposal development and strategy, marketing planning and research, public relations, database management, event coordination, marketing outreach and onboarding new marketing personnel. Bresnahan has 15 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry and joined McCarthy in 2010. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism and is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), serving on the St. Louis Chapter’s board for multiple years, including incoming Special Events Chair for 2016-2017.

Allison Connely Joins Arcturis as Interior Designer

Arcturis is pleased to announce that Allison Connely will be joining the team as an interior designer.
