Stacy Sensel Rejoins HOK’s St. Louis Office as Senior Project Accountant

Stacy Sensel has joined HOK in St. Louis as a senior project accountant. As an experienced financial manager, Sensel will work with project teams to analyze project cost reports and review project status for profitability and invoicing.

Prior to joining HOK, Sensel was a business manager at Forum Studio in St. Louis. She has previous experience at Kiku Obata & Company and with HOK from 2000 to 2012. She earned her Master of Business Administration from McKendree University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

HOK’s St. Louis Office Adds Three Architects

Jake Wagoner, AIA, NCARB, LEED GA, Erik Illies, AIA, LEED AP and Bing Lui, AIA, have joined HOK in St. Louis. Wagoner will contribute his design expertise as an architect working on the Indiana University Health Academic Health Center project. A licensed architect with experience in healthcare and space planning, Wagoner joins HOK from The Beck Group in Dallas. He earned his Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.

In his new role as senior design professional, Illies is focusing on urban mixed-use projects. He joins HOK from FGM Architects, where he was a project architect. Illies earned his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Bing Lui
Bing Lui

Lui will support urban mixed-use project work as a senior project architect. With over 14 years of experience, Lui joins HOK from Gensler in Houston, where he was a project architect and project manager. He earned his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Art from the University of Oregon.

Steve Baker Joins Haberberger as VP of Plumbing

Haberberger is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Baker, of O’Fallon, Mo., to the Affton-based mechanical contracting firm as Vice President of Plumbing. In his new role, he will be heading up the new Plumbing division.

Steve brings over 35 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He spent 18 years of his career working in the field as a plumber. Baker relocated to St. Louis with his family eight years ago from California where he was the President of Extreme Mechanical, Inc., a company he founded in 2000. Steve holds several master plumber licenses in Missouri, as well as plumbing, fire protection and general contractor licensees in California.

Steve has an extensive background as a plumbing and process piping contractor in the industrial, pharmaceutical and food processing sectors in St. Louis and throughout the country.

McCarthy Enhances Virtual Design & Construction Expertise with Addition of Chris Campbell

To provide clients with greater insight into their future buildings and streamline the design and construction process through technology, McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. announces the addition of Chris Campbell as Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Engineer.

In this new role, Campbell will produce 3D animated models, flyovers, renderings and virtual walk-throughs of construction projects, in conjunction with McCarthy’s preconstruction, business development and marketing teams. He will also support core services for building information modeling (BIM), including 3D coordination, modeling concrete lift drawings and creating virtual enclosure mockups.

Kyle Stigler Signs on as Project Engineer for IMPACT Strategies

Construction-management firm IMPACT Strategies today announced it has hired Kyle Stigler, a resident of Fairview Heights, Illinois, as a project engineer.

Stigler is an experienced construction engineer with proficiency in managing the day-to-day responsibilities of contractors on mid-sized projects to major multi-million dollar developments for both private companies and government agencies. Since 2011, Stigler has worked as a staff engineer and engineering technician for various companies, providing him the opportunity to hone his project management experience and engineering skills. He has completed his OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training and is certified in storm water erosion control and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) and Public Right of Way Accessible Guidelines (PROWAG). Stigler also completed the New Environment, Inc. – Confined Space Safety Program, IDOT Documentation Class, and he is a Qualified Compliance Inspector of Storm water.

Anthony Eftimoff Joins Tarlton Corp Exec Team

Tarlton Corp., a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm, has added Anthony Eftimoff to its executive team as vice president of finance.

Eftimoff brings more than 17 years of executive management experience in finance and accounting operations in the construction industry to his position at Tarlton. In this new role, he will help guide and enhance the firm’s financial operations, as well as foster employee development and growth, mentoring and team-building across functions and departments.

He previously served as director in subcontractor default insurance and controller at S.M. Wilson & Co. He also held positions in financial management at Walton Construction Co. LLC, Fru-Con Construction Corporation and May Department Stores.

Eftimoff holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University. He is a member of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri.

Jamie Foster Joins Holland Construction Services as Director of Human Resources

A licensed architect with ten years of experience, Johnson joins HOK from RTA Architects in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas.

Picker will provide office-wide administrative support in her new role as a receptionist. She brings office management experience from Schaub+Srote Architects. Picker earned her associate degree in Communication Arts from St. Louis Community College.

Virginia Pankey

Virginia Pankey, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC, has joined HOK’s team in St. Louis as a senior medical planner and senior associate. A registered architect with more than 25 years’ experience, Pankey will support the team working on the Wyoming Department of Health Facilities projects.

Prior to joining HOK, Pankey was a senior medical planner and project manager at Christner, Inc. She earned her Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
