Rodney Joins Midwest BankCentre’s WomenConnect Advisory Board
Nancy Rodney, project manager and architect at Rosemann & Associates, P.C., has been elected to the Midwest BankCentre WomenConnect Advisory Board. As a member of Rosemann’s senior management, she manages the design and construction of major projects spanning senior care communities, apartments, student housing, military housing and mixed used developments. Founded in 1987, the firm provides architectural, engineering, planning and interior design services to clients in more than 20 states and maintains offices in St. Louis, Denver, Kansas City and Atlanta.
Rodney is past president of both the Commercial Real Estate Women-St. Louis (CREW) and the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA). She currently serves as development committee chair for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)-Missouri Gateway Chapter, and is active in the Missouri Growth Association and Missouri Workforce Housing Association. Rodney obtained her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Ariz.
Celeste Rueter Named Exec VP of Home Builders Association of St. Louis & Eastern MO
Celeste Rueter was named HBA Executive Vice President effective September 13. Before joining the HBA as Staff Vice President for Public Policy in 2015, Rueter worked for Variety The Children’s Charity of St. Louis as Annual Fund Manager and for the St. Louis Association of Realtors as Senior Vice President-Governmental & Legislative Affairs. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University and her M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.
The HBA is a local trade association of more than 600 member firms representing the residential construction industry.
Ryan Gowert joins Integrated Facility Services (IFS)
Ryan Gowert of Maryland Heights has joined Integrated Facility Services (IFS) as Project Engineer. Gowert is responsible for project support on healthcare and data center projects for IFS, a St. Louis-based HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection and building automation firm. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

James Merritt & Patrick J. Randle Join Kadean Construction
James Merritt has been named Construction Superintendent by Kadean Construction Co., specializing in Pre-Construction, Design-Build, Construction Management, and General Contracting, the company announced today.
Merritt, of St. Charles, MO, has more than 25 years of construction supervision experience, while also focusing on workplace safety, quality workmanship, and meeting completion deadlines. His assignments range from local bridge work to $80 million projects with as many as 300 construction workers on site.
He will immediately serve as co-superintendent on Kadean’s interior build-out of the new Amazon facility at the Lakeview Commerce Center in Edwardsville, IL. He’s serving as co-superintendent with Kadean’s Benj Meyer due to the amount of extra coordination required on the project and to meet the stringent deadlines involved, said Kadean Construction Co. President Mike Eveler.
Before joining Kadean Merritt worked as construction manager for Monsanto, where he oversaw reconstruction of the Lindbergh and G-Building bridges, the Labs & Growth Chambers, and other work.
With previous employers, Merritt worked on the Scottish Rite Parking Garage, the historic Paul Brown Building conversion to apartment units, and the Lucas Lofts. Merritt also worked on Stations Casino, now the Ameristar Casino, St. Anthony’s Hospital’s Doctor’s Office Building, the Renaissance Grand Hotel in downtown St. Louis, and the Advanced School of Dentistry, Humanities Building, Business School – Cook Hall, and the Arches over Grand at St. Louis University.
Earlier in his career, Merritt also worked on the McDonnell-Douglas (Boeing) Missile Plant, DePaul Hospital, Emerson’s World Headquarters, and other notable construction projects.
Patrick J. Randle, of Glenn Carbon, IL, has been hired as a Project Engineer for Kadean Construction Company it was announced today.
Randle will serve as Project Engineer on various regional Kadean construction sites — including the new Amazon light industrial, distribution and logistics facilities in Edwardsville, and Kadean’s hospital renovation work.
“We’re very excited to have someone of Patrick’s qualifications and background with our team,” said Matt Breeze, vice president and director of Construction Services for Kadean. “We help our clients and their customers to succeed and make a real difference in their fields. And, based on his experience, we know Patrick’s the right person for the job.”
Before joining Fenton-based Kadean, Randle worked for the National Park Service in St. Louis, where he performed and managed a myriad of construction and historic restoration work at the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, the Old Court House, and other NPS facilities, including the Lincoln National Historic Site in Springfield, IL, and the Ulysses S Grant National Historic Site in South St. Louis County.
Randle is a veteran of the U.S. Navy Construction Force (NCF) – “the Seabees” – and served on construction crews during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom that built military housing, bunkers, hospitals, mess halls, tank hangers, and helicopter landing pads for U.S. and Iraqi forces. (The Seabees’ motto: We Build. We fight. The word “Seabee” comes from “CB,” initials for the Navy’s “Construction Battalion.”)
He’s a graduate of Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville, where he earned his Bachelor of Engineering- Construction Management degree. He also earned his Associates Degree in Building Construction Technology from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, MO.
Geotechnology’s Duane Kreuger Honored with AEG Service Award
The Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG) honored Duane Kreuger, R.G., Corporate Operations Manager for Geotechnology, Inc., with its prestigious Floyd T. Johnston Service Award.
AEG is the principal American association of professionals in the fields of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soils engineering, hydrological engineering, and environmental geology. The association also includes geologists, civil engineers, structural engineers, ecologists, petroleum engineers and others in fields relating to engineering geology and its effects on the environment.
The award, established in 1982, is named in honor of Floyd T. Johnston, the first Executive Director of the Association, and is given for outstanding active and faithful service to the Association. Kreuger received the award on September 22 at AEG’s 59thAnnual Meeting, in Kona, Hawaii.
Among his many contributions to the organization, Kreuger has been heavily involved with AEG student workshops, has served as an officer in AEG’s St. Louis chapter, has been an AEG Board Member and AEG Executive Council Member, and served as AEG President (2010). In 2004, Kreuger was a recipient of the AEG Douglas R. Piteau Outstanding Young Member Award.
A graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in geology, Kreuger is a registered geologist in Missouri and Illinois. He has worked with Geotechnology for more than 20 years, in increasingly responsible positions, starting as a driller’s helper/technician, progressing to project geologist, project manager, Environmental Group Manager and Branch Manager of Geotechnology’s largest office in St. Louis. In his current role as Corporate Operations Manager, he is responsible for three branch offices with more than 100 staff members. He was instrumental in integrating these offices and employees into company’s systems, policies and procedures in 2015 when Geotechnology acquired a firm in the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky area.
“Duane’s lengthy list of AEG positions only tells part of the story of his service to the Association,” said AEG president Paul Santi, PhD. “In addition to being a tremendous leader, he is a tireless AEG advocate who recruits new members, motivates and inspires volunteers, and works on countless projects both large and small. We are very appreciative of all he has done for AEG.”###
