Jefferson County R-VII School District has tapped St. Louis-based Pinnacle Contracting, Inc. as construction manager for its $1.6 million addition and renovation to Telegraph Intermediate School, located at 1265 Dooling Hollow Road in Festus, Mo.
Pinnacle is targeting a December 2016 completion for the 10,729-square-foot addition which will create four new classrooms, restrooms and a new multipurpose room. Also, existing restrooms and offices are being modified and reconfigured to maximize useable space. Paving, site drainage improvements and exterior modifications are other elements of the assignment. Telegraph Intermediate School currently hosts approximately 52,000 square feet.
“Working on a tight site and with an existing school presents logistics and safety challenges that must be met. Making the process seamless for parents, students, and the district is the goal while maintaining our project schedule,” said Tim McLaughlin, Pinnacle vice president of operations.
St. Louis, Mo.-based Ebersoldt + Associates is serving as project architect.
