Kadean Construction has been tapped by St. Louis based Dover Development and Cedarhurst Senior Living to build Cedarhurst of Blue Springs, a multi-unit senior care facility in Blue Springs, MO, it was announced today.
The $9 million project includes constructing a 61,007 square foot, two-story, wood frame facility that will offer 49 assisted living and 20 memory care apartments in all private suites.
It also includes various common areas, such as a kitchen and dining hall, physical therapy unit, entertainment areas, and other amenities, said Mike Eveler, president of St. Louis-based Kadean Construction.
“We’re very excited to work with Cedarhurst on this tremendous project,” Eveler said. “And, it is a perfect fit with the work we’re continuing to do in the assisted living and memory care industry.”
The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2018, said Kadean Project Manager Josh Moore, of Kansas City, MO, who is overseeing the Cedarhurst and other Kansas City-area projects.
Moore said that before winning the contract to build the assisted living facility, Kadean was selected to complete the site infrastructure work on the five lot, 22-acre Trinity Woods development, just south of Interstate 70 at Little Blue Parkway, where the Cedarhurst facility will be located.
