Come November, Commerce Bank customers will have a new full-service banking and wealth management location in Ladue that allows for a balance of the digital solutions customers expect with the human connection they deserve.
Regional Construction Design Manager Josh Hellmann said the approximately 3,100-square-foot full-service banking center sits on the site formerly occupied by Schneithorst’s Restaurant, which closed in December 2019. Commerce Bank’s new location at the southeast corner of Lindbergh Boulevard and Clayton Road will feature full-service banking and Commerce Trust Company’s wealth management arm known as The Private Bank.
Musick Construction began renovation of the existing shell space in February. L Keeley Construction is completing interior finishes now. The location will officially open to customers on Nov. 8.
“This location will give us tremendous visibility and great access,” Hellmann said.
The building is equipped with two points of entry – one for banking and another for wealth management clients – in addition to a walk-up night drop along the north entry, an ATM vestibule, café-style seating, private banking spaces and a conference room. Entries to the new building are touchless.

Wood and stone complement a neutral palette of the banking center’s interior to add warmth and texture.
“This is our first project for Commerce Bank,” said Clayton Rehkemper, project manager for L Keeley Construction. “We’re delighted to work for them.”
L Keeley’s work included installing demountable glass partitions as flexible, movable glass office fronts.
V Three Studios is the architect, with Color Art providing furniture and other interiors.
