Special Agreement to Enhance Transportation Options on the Mississippi River Signed

Representatives from four St. Louis regional ports, St. Louis Regional Freightway, Bi-State development, and the Port of Plaquemines, located in the State of Louisiana, will meet Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in St. Louis to sign a special 5-year agreement related to development of a new transportation link for cargo to move along the Mississippi River. The agreement aims to establish and grow an alliance to generate new business and economic growth by promoting international and inland trade routes along the Mississippi River.

Those participating will be: Sandy Sanders, Executive Director, Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District (Plaquemines Port), Mary C. Lamie, Executive Director of St. Louis Regional Freightway, John M. Nations, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bi-State Development, Dennis Wilmsmeyer, Executive Director of America’s Central Port, Susan Taylor, Port Director for the Port Authority of St. Louis, Ed Weilbacher, General Manager of Kaskaskia Regional Port District, Neal Breitweiser, Executive Director of Jefferson County Port Authority and Sal Litrico, Chief Executive Officer, American Patriot Holdings LLC
